BLACKHEATH

at Blackheath, Sunday July 1st. Won by 6 wickets

Blackheath won the toss and chose to bat on a pitch tinged with green and found scoring difficult against some excellent seam bowling by Paul Francis and Somerset Pheasant. Jon Stonebridge swung the ball to good effect and there was a sudden clatter of wickets towards the end of Francis's lengthy spell as Blackheath went from 71-2 to 101 all out.

Ramblers lost 3 early wickets but eventually won with something to spare, Simon Fisk leading them home with 8 boundaries in his 40 not out.
